About me

Hi, I'm Emily — a software engineer by day, and enthusiastic baker, yummy food enjoyer, and occasional wanderer by all other hours.

I started this blog partly to practice sharing, it was part of my 2026 resolutions to document more and I'm honestly scared to post on social media. So most the software engineer solution I came up with was hey let's host my own blog. I also wanted to do a bit of coding outside of work and fall in love with creating a project of my own. So, welcome to my little corner of the internet where I'm keeping track of the things I love doing: perfecting recipes, solving puzzles in rooms I've paid to be locked in, and eating my way through cities I've just landed in.

On the adulting side

I'm a backend engineer but also weirdly love being a product engineer and working on building solutions to customer pains. FE freaks me out a lot because I have a hard time making things pretty but I guess here I am trying to make a pretty blog ☺️.
